GAUDIGUAD

Opera Order

Its action processes social phenomena that are of public interest, exposes injustice, mocks the nonsense of the guilty parties' motives with the means of satire, without striving to overcome reality with fantastic utopias, and religious ideas and deeds only then, if their effects endanger the common good, violate people contrary to legal peace and justice or destroy the environment and the common basis of life.

Formally, the Satirical Realopera in parts goes back to the beginnings of the Opéra-comique, consists of drama, spoken dialogues, instrumental music, solo songs without recitatives, ensemble and choir numbers, whereby the choir numbers are sung by the actors alone or together with the audience, melodramas and dances, is divided into at most five acts with several scenes and begins not with an overture, but with a prologue performed by a soloist. Its playing time is at most three hours.

It is performed by at least 1 singer and at maximum of 5 singers in the voices soprano, alto, tenor and bass with drama and classical singing. The instrumental music consists of at least 1 harmony instrument and a maximum of 4 instruments of contemporary construction of the genre harmony, percussion, bass and melody, the sound of which is differentiated and strong enough and is not or does not have to be electrically amplified or changed. If a grand piano is to be used, it must not impair the stage floor and space with its considerable space requirement of around 12 cubic meters including the space required by the pianist.

Play, music, costumes, masks, props, stage design and technology serve to convey and present the content and do not serve to despise, torment or flatter the audience. The tenor of the satire is neither flat nor stupid, cowardly, frivolous, brutal, ingratiating or opportunistic. The music is tonal and largely harmonious. The solo songs are based on the resilience of the classically trained and healthy singing voice. While the intervals and cues do not require perfect pitch and can be sung with natural intelligence, the music can be complex. The Satirical Realoper is not performed in order to subject singers and musicians to an ordeal or to produce cheap hits.
