He manages averting doom. Forgetting about himself he sets himself his meaningless presence. After the tragic death of his mother his life story seems causeless and his existence seems useless to him (aria Total eclipse). The young hero wants to explore being and time. But he fails with his excessive demands. Philosophically unaware he sees his time come. The world must listen to him (aria Von Jugend auf in dem Kampfgefild).

5th Act

The young hero resists fearlessly death and devil. Critics do not give blows but directional impulses to him which power him on his long journey. When everything is sung and played, everything is performed and recorded (duett Das süße Lied verhallt), the hero makes his last journey (aria Mein lieber Schwan). At a wrong dental treatment by an untrustworthy dentist he dies. To a legal advice by a lawyer it does not come any more. The rotation of the earth is delayed by one minute of silence. Every man and woman grieves and goes on living as he and she did before. When all mass of ice melts and the meltwater overflows everything, Billionaires move to the mars and found an interplanetary real estate company there. Millionaires move to cruse liners where they found an international cruising company and an international company for unaffordable shore properties. The middle and the lower classes go down in an argument about the climatic change. The hero is not able to save the world any longer. He is history.
